This October, our CleanPlanet team made a meaningful impact in Colombia, demonstrating how small, consistent efforts can inspire change while fostering education about environmental care.
We started early in Taganga, where local community members joined us to collect five bags of trash from the trails. Seeing the difference a few hands can make was motivating.

Later, we headed to El Trompito to team up with @Andy Bayon, @Veronica CleanPlanet, Fundación Kaby, and 12 wonderful kids who made this day truly special.
In El Trompito, we focused not only on cleaning the area but also on teaching the kids about the importance of caring for the planet.

Through games and hands-on activities, they learned how improper waste disposal affects ecosystems, animals, and even their own health. One of the kids shared that seeing the trash made them sad for the birds and fish. Moments like this remind us how important it is to involve children early in these conversations.
The lesson?
When we take the time to educate children about the consequences of pollution and the benefits of protecting the environment, we plant seeds of change. These seeds can grow into lifelong habits, shaping future generations to be more mindful and proactive in caring for the Earth.

As adults, we have a responsibility to make this education fun, accessible, and empowering. By leading with example, we not only clean our surroundings but also inspire young minds to take pride in their environment.
The children of El Trompito left that day not only with cleaner surroundings but also with the tools and knowledge to make a difference in their own way.
A huge shoutout to my mom, who also participated in CleanPlanet Day in Ft. Lauderdale with her dog BamBam, collecting trash in her community. Every small effort contributes to the bigger picture—a cleaner, healthier planet for all.
Let this October CleanPlanet Day serve as a reminder: education is just as important as action. Together, let’s continue creating change for the present and the future. 💚🌟
