April Cleanplanet Day

Writer's picture: Andy BayonAndy Bayon

Not long after two feet of snow melted from a heavy spring storm, CleanPlanet Day at the end of April gifted us with warm sunshine to announce the arrival of Spring.

We walked from home to Golden’s Fossil Trace golf course.

We were drawn to the stream that parallels the 9th green. Our bags were filled mostly by discarded beer cans, leading us to wonder how we counteract ignorance of those who would prefer to litter than find a trash can.

It’s possible to enjoy a round of golf and a few cold beers and still respect nature, right?

This is a discussion—education regarding the human impact on nature—that underpins our work with Clean Planet.

Enjoy the warm sunshine on CleanPlanet Day in April. Join us as we clean up Golden's Fossil Trace and discuss how to respect nature while golfing.
